St Columba

St Columba's church cast a splendid shadow on the side of the new John Lewis building in Cambridge this morning.

One of the reasons I think I'm so lucky to live here is that our walk into the town centre this morning incorporated feeding ducks, watching kayakers, drinking lattés, grocery and shoe shopping, and took in both the view above and the one below.

Sunshine after rain

One of the many joys of working in the Ndiyo/Camvine shed is the view from the window, looking westward towards Grantchester. It rained for much of today, but the sun came out in the evening.

Summer's lease hath all too short a date

I was out at Wimpole Hall this afternoon with friends. A beautiful afternoon. Congratulations to Robert & Turi on their 7th anniversary! (Click pictures for larger versions)

Sydney by night

In May I was in Sydney, and had dinner at the revolving restaurant at the top of the Centrepoint tower. The food was not bad. The view was spectacular. I took a few photos, some of which were a bit blurry and most of which had some reflections from inside the restaurant, but with the help of Photoshop I managed to blend three roughish images together to get this. It's reasonably high resolution, if you want to click it and see the other sizes on Flickr.
